Java Accommodations

To assist with planning your trip, we have only created a number of links to of hotels and home stays which have their own websites. This is just a small selection of the places that we usually recommend to our guests, but of course there are many more places to stay overnight. We would be more than happy to show other hotels (which, due to the small scale of their business do not have a website yet) to you once we arrive at our destinations. It’s important to us that you are comfortable and stay at a place of your choice.  As said in the introduction, you might already have found that very special place to stay and we are more than happy to take you there.

West Java

Sumbur Alam A wonderful place to stay whilst in Garut, we are sure you will be delighted with this hotel.

Nyiur Indah Beach  Pangandaran This hotel has a very homey feel and the staff will do everything to make you feel comfortable. It is also perfectly located for your stay in Pangandaran

Central Java

The Grand Hotel Dieng was formerly run by a family from The Netherlands and was mainly used as a stopover for europeans especially Dutch who will visit dieng plateu. Duta Garden Hotel Lovely boutique hotel in Yogyakarta, located in a quiet street a short walking distance from the many restaurants at Jalan Prawirotaman.

Rumah Batu All of our guests who choose to stay overnight at Rumah Batu in Solo are delighted by it. It’s very quiet and peaceful and if you wish so you could even try out their Spa facilities for a relaxing massage to recover from your traveling.

Warisan Resort Solo This boutique hotel is from the same owner as Rumah Batu. It’s a Village Javanese House that reflects the living of “Kampoeng Jawa”. Located on the outskirt of Solo, the villas are ideal for a tranquil honeymoon escape or a family vocation in Java.

East Java

Kertanegara GH Malang is a B&B accommodation with premium offering in Malang – think of them as 3-star hotel with all the goodies. The property first opened its doors in early October 2012. Our guests love it.

Rumah Senang This is another of our guests favorite place to stay in Kalibaru (East Java) and relax at the end of their Java tour. It is definitely a place to feel at home and most of our guest feel sorry when their time at Rumag Senang is over and they have to continue their journey.

Margo Utomo, which in Javanese means ‘Main Gate’ is an extraordinary eco-resort in Kalibaru which is created to attract many visitors wishing to learn about and enjoy tropical plants and flowers. Also the dairy farm gives another “touch” to the resort. When you leave we’re sure you’ll wish you had some more time to spent at this unique place.

Ijen View Bondowoso A quiet retreat in the rural heartland. This hotel is ideal when you want to visit the Ijen vulcano.

Bali Accommodation

Guci Guesthouses A lot of people who visit Java continue on to Bali. We can fully recommend this peaceful Guesthouse in Ubud which is run by a very friendly couple who were introduced to us when we brought guests over there. The bungalows breath a romantic atmosphere and for those who just wish to have a bit more space or for families, the two houses are perfect! The garden is delightful and you will never forget the special breakfasts and meetings with other guests in the breakfast pavilion.

Miscellaneous

M double U This is the personal website from Marc Willemsen, one of our Dutch friends, who also created and maintains this website for us. Marc has travelled with us in 2008, 2013 and 2018, you can read all about his adventures with us on his travel page. Besides Information on Java it contains a wealth of stories from around the world.
